sneaky peeky/maybe baby

Today I took some pics of an outfit for Melanie's VOGOFF. I'm not quite sure if I'll submit the photos or not because #1 I think the outfit could stand to be a little more "freaky" and #2 I've got a wee babe and a busy husband so I had to take the photos myself in my house- boring! I'm definitely going to submit something. I'm just not sure if it'll be this particular outfit... (I'm not going to show you the whole thing because I want it to be a surprise if I make it in the zine!) But I will tell you I was going for a punk rock disgruntled housewife look and I will show you this lil' video of me unglamming myself after taking my pics.
Enjoy, you sexy thangs you!

PS. Thank you all for the sweet birthday wishes!

2012: the craziest year of my life... so far

I'm going to try to keep things brief. There's a lot to mention!

January
After a year of quiet planning it was time to for me to officially start pimping Texarkana's first Renaissance faire.
February
Me and the Texarkana Renaissance Faire Club threw our most unsuccessful event ever.
I'm not sure why it turned out to be such a disaster.
March
I started my own YouTube show called the Modern Filth Show.
With the faire and moving and being pregnant, I just didn't have time to continue.
I am on hiatus right now and I hope to return after the little one is born.
April
I quit my full time job with much pleasure and I got to do my first play since high school! I was Anas, an evil high priest(ess) in Jesus Christ Superstar...
I also played a Soul Sistah Singer.
May
Shortly after the play, we moved from our loverly little one bedroom apartment into a trailer park on the other end of town. My husband is the manager of the park which means we get to live in the park rent and bill free.
That offer came just in time.
June-July
A little bored in the extreme heat of the summer days, I started a blog based off the absurdness of my YouTube show.
...and then I changed it...
...and changed it...
And finally settled.
Time passed on.
August- September
It was time to start promoting the faire big time and time to start tying up loose ends.
That's me up. This photo was taken by the local newspaper photographer at a comic convention. Below are my trusty sidekicks Emily and Brian. They're the best.
October
Show time!
The faire was a success and I received nothing but good feedback.
That whole time, no one knew what I was hiding under that gown. Hee hee!
I went to a pumpkin patch for the first time in my life...
... and threw my first Halloween party.
With the faire being over, I started to get a little restless so I started making jewelry and reopened (and renamed) my Etsy store.
November
We revealed the plans for the newest faire promotion event.
It's gonna be great!
December
We survived the end of the world... again... and celebrated with a Doomsday/Caleb's Birthday/Christmas party.
The only way this year can get any crazier is if I go into labor today...
Take that as a hint little one.

Today: 22 weeks and junk breakfast

Today the Husband and I took a trip down to Marshall to visit our midwife for my monthly checkup.  I got so excited about waking up at a decent hour for our trip that I went out and bought breakfast. See, when you wake up between noon and three in the afternoon everyday, breakfast either becomes a luxury... or dinner.
I went to Sonic to get us a couple of sausage biscuits and my hungry eyes discovered a donut shop right across the street. Sweet. We're going to have sausage biscuits AND donuts for breakfast. Well, that's what  thought we were going to get. I wound up ordering a dozen donut holes and two boudin kolches, plus the two sausage biscuits. Breakfast was heavenly... until  got horribly nauseated from all the dang sugar.
The appointment with the midwife went well. My anemia is getting much better and I feel better. The baby is very wiggly and has a good heartbeat. For those of you who are new to my blaaawg,  I don't know what I'm having yet. Well, I'm having a baby- I just don't know the gender yet and I'm not sure if we'll find out. To be honest, kind of don't care what it is. Just as long as it's a beautiful little healthy ball of joy.

Listening to the baby's heartbeat - 22 weeks, 130 beats per minute

Modern Filth: Knocked Up

Modern Filth has gotten herself knocked up. Her blog Modern Filth the Blog will now be about her unplanned pregnancy.

Her show, "The Modern Filth Show!" on YouTube will temporarily be referred to as"The Modern Filth Show: The Baby Days". She will be sharing videos of her miserable journey though her first pregnancy.

Modern Filth would like to state for the record however, that even though she is not enjoying this pregnancy, she is looking forward to having a Tiny Modern Filth to play with and interview... and snack on if times get tough.

She cannot guarantee that every post will be funny, witty or even slightest bit entertaining. In fact, some posts will be stupid and just down right boring. Some.............. most.

Subscribe to this blog and follow her on YouTube.
