breaking eggs

I've been a weeeee bit depressed this week. There's been something on my mind that's really bugging me. Well, not so much on my mind, but rather on my chest.
Warning: if you don't like "TMI" now is the time to walk away.
My boobs are still growing. The last time I posted about the big boob issue, I had entered into a 38M.
I'm currently spilling out of said 38M and the last size you can get online is N.  I fear I need something bigger than that and I just can't find it anywhere.
I'm in desperate need of a breast reduction but if I get one right now, I would need to hire a live-in nanny, a maid and a cook. While my kiddos are so young and dependent, there's just no way I can have a surgery and take six weeks off from motherhood to recover.
What I need for right now is a bigger bra.
I don't mind the size really and can you believe that I'm JUST NOW starting to experience pain? My left breast is significantly bigger than the right and when unsupported (or poorly supported)  its tremendous weight pulls the skin on my chest, the tendons in my neck all the way up to my scalp. My upper back stays knotted and my clavicle feels like its cracked. Not cool.
I'm trying to lose weight, taking up exercise several days a week(no jumping jacks!) and cutting back on carbs but I fear it's not my weight that's the issue. I've only lost five pounds so far but my boobs just keep getting bigger and bigger. Pray for me,ya'll. I need a miracle.
A boobtastic miracle.
OK! Now that I've gotten that crap out of the way... let's PARTY!!
I'm currently working on an upcoming Mardi Gras event. It's a god old fashion masquerade ball, but with a steampunk theme. I'm actually pretty tired of steampunk but we figured it'd be best to ride the recent wave of popularity before is recedes back into the sea of worn out sub-genres and trends... again.
A couple of friends of mine donated their huge collection of beads for us to use as decoration. I like the traditional Mardi Gras colors of purple, green and gold so I spent half a day untangling and picking out those pesky rebel colors.
I found this gem in the lot.
I used a couple dozen of the necklaces to jazz up a cheap leprechaun to hat for my ball costume.
All it took was some hot glue, a few hours (two kids) and a tiny bottle of wine. I'm not done with it and I'm not going to show you the finished product until after the ball. I would rather show you all what it looks like with my costume.
A little randomness:
And for everyone saying Cedar looks like me.... she's a clone of her father. We made her... in a laboratory.
Lookin' cool.
   Rave in the bathtub.
This was back on River's birthday. I let him eat an entire cinnamon roll.
I'm a good mama.
 And the coup de gras!!

  1. Your BABIES!!! So yummy! Okay now. Let's talk boobs. I don't understand why doctors and insurance companies don't realize that having too much boobage is a medical issue. Big dents in shoulders from bra straps. Back aches. Minimizer bras are super expensive and yeah, no jumping jacks. It is messed up.

  2. You have such an adorable family! I don't know what to say about the boob problem, though. Where do adult film stars get their bras? ;)

  3. I agree with the comment above. The reduction should be covered by insurance! Sorry to hear you're having this booby problem, Hollie:( Here in Canada, that would probably be covered by our health care plan coz it is a medical issue.
PS On a lighter note, your kiddos....just too much cuteness! :)

  4. Your kids are so cute. Sorry 'bout the boobs. It's easy to joke about that but the problem is real. I knew a woman who had reduction-surgery and was greatly relieved of back-problems from the strain. Good luck.

  5. Cutest kids!!!! Oh man, the boob issue is tough. Six weeks recovery is a long time! Your hat came out amazing!

  6. That hat is COOL!

The boob thing however is not. Wouldn't it be great if you could just give some of that extra boobage to someone that needs it? Maybe in the future.

    Your kids are hilarious!

  7. I've said it before and I'll say it again ... You are THE BEST costume maker. The hat is beautiful. Can't wait to see the whole costume!

Darn those boobs. Your situation sounds painful and I'm sorry about that.

    Love all these photos. xo

  8. I love it when woman who get implants say "It helped my self image". Honey, you and I should have that out the window.

The middle photo of Cedar is my fave

  9. I hope the boob fairy throws some 'stop growing' glitter your way, ouch to the pain, do us a favour send her my way when she's finished, mine are mahoosive, they keep suffocating me in yoga - River's face! what a happy boy, that was some good cinnamon roll, he is a total cutie and Cedar face time is very appreciated! your babies are just beautiful x x x

  10. You're still growing?! I'm just gonna throw this out there with no research whatsoever, but maybe you should get dairy products from cows that are not treated with hormones. And maybe there are other foods that are raising your female hormone levels (some plastics used for packaging, too). You may find some info online - I hope it could be that easy. And if you're breast-feeding, that would make a difference, right? I wish you luck with whatever course of action you can take.

Cedar does too look like you! But she has some of your husband's features, and she looks like a little angel!

That hat is amazing! Such patience.

  11. I am praying for a boobtastic miracle!

  12. Oh crap that must suck! I find it annoying to find a good bra sometimes and I'm far away from M or N! Keeping my fingers crossed for you to find a boobtastic (online) store!

  13. I did not even know an M bra existed. After I had my daughter my boobs went up to Cs and I HATED them! Way too big! So I can't even imagine how you feel. Good luck with those babies!

  14. The hat is awesome - can't wait to see you wearing it. You are very imaginative and great at re-using things for costumes. I hope there is a solution to the boob problem xxx

  15. omg that sucks! Maybe once you start losing more weight your boobs will just go down gradually. I hope so for your sake bc there is nothing worse than not being able to find a bra that fits!

One thing i can say about you- you're always doing something! Planning or putting something together. You make me look like a bum with all this party throwing! lol

  16. Here's hoping for a booby type miracle x

  17. Love the tub rave. Are you currently nursing? I'd definitely see a doc about the crazy growth, scary! Good luck to yee!
