vertigo and...

Last week was pretty uneventful. Well, not really. I got to go grocery shopping...
I also went to a pretty stellar children's consignment shop and scored River's baptism outfit for a righteous $8 (the classic white baby shoes were only $2.50). Do you know how expensive baptism and christening outfits are? That was a killer deal AND it just so happened to be the only baptism-ish outfit in the entire store.
The day I went grocery shopping, I was also supposed to go bargain book hunting and me the husband were supposed to go do our taxes so I actually got dressed but there was a change of plans due to my husband's weird working hours. So that means I got all dolled up to go to Walmart. What a waste of lipstick (which is a new shade by the way).
Well, come to think of it, I'd rather be a little overdressed at Walmart than to look like...

Friday, me and the husband went out on our third post-birth date to a Mexican restaurant. We were supposed to go book shopping and get a spot of coffee afterwards but I started missing my little one too much and I just wanted to go home, hold my baby, digest my food and watch crime investigation shows on Netflix.

leggings: Etsy
boots: hand-me-downs from mom (still dirty from my Faire in October)

The Mexican restaurant also has a little gift shop area where you can buy all sorts of goodies like fresh chips and tortillas and pastries and gross Mexican candy.
Yes, I said it. Mexican candy is gross.

So anywho... after ten glorious months of freedom from you-know-who... she's back... with a vengeance. You know what I'm talking about...

And to make matters worse I was careless with a cotton swab yesterday and jacked up my right ear. Now every sound is booming and vibrates in my head and I have terrible vertigo. Needless to say, I'm pretty miserable right now.
I'm going to go lay on the couch and think of all the things I should be doing but didn't really want to do anyway and then complain about how I can't get anything done because I feel bad but I'm secretly grateful for being able to lay around and do nothing...
Just being honest.

  1. You guys are so cuuuuuuuuute.

Oh noooo :( Did you have to give up on BFing? I am not looking forward to the day that Aunt Flo comes back. No way no how. I think I have some birth trauma so I think I'll just freak out major when I get cramps unless I get over it before then. Meh.

Happy six weeks! He's so sweet.

  2. I did give up. My supply was super low. I drank some tea to boost it and it worked wonderfully. My boobies were full and HUGE but nothing would come out when I pumped or nursed so I just went ahead and threw in the towel.

  3. Congrats you two on the most adorable little baby boy! I'm happy to hear you finally had a night out even if you wanted to hurry home to him, who could blame you. Love your blue dress with those bright red leggings and your funny pointing picture...what you looking at!

  5. You have a beautiful family! I'm sorry to hear about your vertigo; I had a case of it when I lived in San Diego and is no fun at all!
    Hope you get better soon!
